You’re Experiencing Pain In Your Back: Here Is How You Can Solve Them Naturally!

The lumbago is one of the most common health problems of the modern world and it is considered that 80% of the population over a lifetime and have at least once a while pains in the lower lumbar spine.

What does this mean?

The spine in the body is a very complicated  anatomical structure of the vertebrae from 7 cervical, 12 thoracic and 5 lumbar which move around, among them there are gristle circles that let the spine move and are associated with many muscles, nerves, blood veins and ligaments, which is like a supporting pillar for the body. It gives the body the right standpoint. The vertebrae contains a tube that protects the canal that where the spinal cords passes and nerves.

Due to its function, the spine can go through pressure tension and bending without it being injured easily.

Every part of the spine doesn’t contain the same amount of versatility: the cervical vertebrae can move quite a lot while the chest can’t move to easily. When the transition from one side to the other which causes pain. Back pain may occur in the breast stroke, the lumbar part and mainly the lumbar dorsal crossing , among many movable and burdened back lumbar and very low rolling vertebra.

Risk group

People who have a physical working job for many hours, with bad positioning, sedentary work, older people as well have degenerative processes, people with osteoporosis, and people who have abnormalities after injuries.

Treatment and prevention

The gavez plant has many properties that will help one with these problems. It is usually found in meadows or fields that are near water.  One ointment that was made from gavez went through testing for 5 days and effectively helped pain from sore back. The scientist during this study examined 120 patients who had pain in their lower or upper back. Half of the respondents received gavez grease that was applied on their back for five days, 3 times a day, while the other half received a false product. Scientist explained that the placebo was fully effective for relieving pain. Among those respondents who applied themselves with grease from gavez the pain was decreased by 95%. The gavez acted very quickly, just one hour after application.

The research that was done by the scientists at the German Sport University in Bonn and it was published in the British journal of Sports medicine. The extract that comes from gavez root is very strong and has been clinically proven to help with pain. The gavez root is close to beets as its has pretty big hairy leaves. In the research it was proven that the gavez successfully reduces pain in the joints and sprains in the osteoarthritis of the knee. It must be taken in the form of capsules and as supplement because they can be toxic to the liver.

Homemade Vapor Rub Recipe That Works Better Than Store Bought

If you have little kids at home, you know that the sickies are a pain and it seems as if they follow your children around everywhere they go. I’ve seen more than enough toddlers walking around with a runny nose but sometimes that congestion, especially when it comes with a cough can interrupt their sleep and also yours. When this problem sneaks up, instead of heading for Vicks Vapor Rub( as it can be harmful) you can simply make your own version that works twice as good.

This homemade vapor rub recipe really works! The essential oils deliver a soothing feeling while giving off an aroma that helps to open up the respiratory system and help improve the ease of breathing. Try it today!

Colds always bring back memories of my mom and a little blue bottle. The aroma that came from that bottle was like nothing I’ve smelled before. The amazing relief it gave me from my congested nose and chest was powerful. My mother would rub the balm under my nose, back and chest.

Homemade Vapor Rub
  1. In a pan, on low heat, add coconut oil and cocoa butter and wait until it Melts.
  2. Once melted, add the beeswax. Melt.
  3. Take  the pan off of the stove. Wait 5 minutes so the mixture to sit in the saucepan. This will allow the mixture to cool so the oils aren’t damaged.
  4. After 5 minutes, add the eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, rosemary, and tea tree oils to the coconut oil mixture. Combine with a spoon.
  5. Pour the mixture into a glass jar. I use a mason jar. This recipe will make one 4 oz. jar of vapor rub. As the mixture cools the liquid will solidify, making it a creamy, spreadable rub.
Homemade vapor rub will keep at room temperature for 12 months.

As always, please do your own research when it comes to using essential oils, particularly on young children. Using eucalyptus on young children may slow respiration in some children.

Mustard Can Be Used In Surprising Ways

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of mustard? More than likely, you think of it as being good on sandwiches, but it seems mustard has many other uses as well.

It’s likely you didn’t realize your favorite sandwich condiment has a double life. Mustard is used not only for hotdogs, but for a host of other uses, from soothing sore throats to warding off cancer. According to Livestrong, the protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals in yellow mustard contribute to good health and well-being.

The origins of mustard take us back to the time of the ancient Romans, who were introduced to mustard by the Egyptians. They mixed unfermented wine with mustard seed to made the first version of mustard, calling it ‘must,’ hence the name mustard. In today’s world, mustard has some pretty incredible uses.

Here are some alternative uses for mustard that are quite surprising.

Cramps – If you suffer from leg cramps, eat 1 tablespoon of yellow mustard.

Burns – When you burn yourself, first run cool water over it and then cover the area with a layer of mustard. It will help to dull the pain of the burn and prevent blisters from showing up. Mustard contains isothiocyanate, which is a counter irritant that will help to soothe the area.

Sore Throat – When you have a sore throat, mix the juice from one half lemon, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon salt and 1 tablespoon of mustard seed. Put it into 1 1/4 cups of boiling water, allow it to cool to a comfortable temprature and then gargle with it.

Cancer – Researchers feel that the allyl isothiocyanate compound in mustard helps to fight cancer. It may help to inhibit cancer growth, particularly when it comes to bladder cancer. There are some researchers who even feel that mustard may be a cure for cancer.

Muscles – When your muscles ache, mustard can help to ease the pain. Mix 2 tablespoons of mustard and 1 tablespoon of Epson salt and infuse it with your bath. It will help to relax the body and soothe the muscles.

If you have specific muscles that are giving you problems, create a paste of one part mustard seed to two parts flour and add water until it becomes a thick paste. Smooth it onto a cheesecloth unfolded inside. Place it on the area and secure with a bandage for 30 minutes.

Hair – Many people don’t realize that mustard oil is a fantastic hair conditioner. After you condition, work a palm-sized amount of the oil through your hair. Leave it on for eight hours or longer if you can. Your hair will be soft and silky in the morning.

Gardening – Do you have a lot of critters in your garden? Put some yellow mustard on a tin plate and hang it in the corner of the garden. The scent will help to keep animals away.

Smells – When you have a lingering scent in a container, put some hot water and mustard and then shake it. The scent should disappear! This will also work with pots and pans.

Skin – You can make a facemask out of mustard as it has anti-inflammatory properties, along with vitamin E and antioxidants. Simply rub a layer of mustard on your skin and leave it for 15 minutes. Be sure to wash it off with clear water.

Decongestant – Mustard may be able to help relieve a cold when you apply it to the skin. If you are congested, rub a layer of mustard on your chest and put a hot, damp cloth on top of it. It will help to make breathing easier.

How To Make Relaxing Magnesium Water To Get Rid Of Headaches And Muscle Pain

Magnesium’s long list of health benefits are nothing short of impressive. However, with the good, comes the bad. When the magnesium levels in the body dip too low, the body cannot function properly and is at risk of several illnesses and diseases.

Getting enough magnesium in your diet can be challenging. However, with the help of supplements, like the latest trend of magnesium bicarbonate drinks, achieving adequate amounts of magnesium is not only attainable, it’s easy. While magnesium bicarbonate cannot be found naturally in food, it can be made easily and affordably at home – and we’ve got a recipe to prove it.

Importance of Magnesium

Known to reduce muscle tension, lessen pain associated with migraine headaches, improve sleep, and address neurological disorders (to name a few), magnesium is essential to your overall health and wellbeing. Due to its cellular and molecular function, magnesium impacts nearly all systems of the body. For this reason, magnesium’s effect on the body can be as intense as that of many prescription drugs because of its regulatory function for electrolyte balancing, metabolism, and other crucial biochemical reactions.

The implications of magnesium deficiency are frightening. “Once magnesium falls below a certain level, just about everything goes,” says Dr. Andrea Rosanoff, M.D., Ph.D. Co-Auther; The Magnesium Factor, and dangerously, “up to 50 percent of sudden heart attacks may be due to magnesium deficiency.”

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency
  • Muscle cramps or tremors
  • Irregular heart beat
  • Fatigue
  • Confusion
  • Irritability
  • High blood pressure
  • Asthma
  • Bone and teeth degeneration
  • Kidney and liver disease
  • Hypertension
  • Insomnia
The Benefits of Magnesium Bicarbonate

Magnesium bicarbonate is a complex hydrated salt only found in liquid form, rarely found together except in some pristine mountain spring water. Drinking high alkaline magnesium bicarbonate water increases digestion and nutrient absorption. Overall, this increases energy levels and the detoxification of cells. The benefits of magnesium bicarbonate include:

  • Neutralize acids and balances pH levels in the body
  • Replenishes calcium, sodium channels in the body
  • Protects cells from heavy metals poisoning (like aluminum, mercury or lead)
  • Increases memory, focus, and deep relaxation
Magnesium Bicarbonate Water Recipe

Making magnesium bicarbonate is both easy and affordable. The recipe is based on the reaction of magnesium hydroxide (in milk of magnesia) with plain carbonated water. To prepare the water:

Chill a 1-liter bottle of unflavored seltzer, which is fully carbonated water. The seltzer should only contain water and carbon dioxide (CO2). Club soda is carbonated water with a small amount of added sodium and is also suitable.

Shake the bottle of Milk of Magnesia well, then measure out 3 tablespoons (45 ml) and have it ready. The plastic measuring cup that comes with the MoM is accurate and ideal for the purpose.

Remove the bottle of unflavored seltzer from the refrigerator without agitating it. Open it slowly and carefully to minimize the loss of CO2. As soon as the initial fizzing settles down, slowly add the pre-measured MoM. Promptly replace the cap on the water bottle and shake it vigorously for 30 seconds or so, making the liquid cloudy.

After roughly ½ hour, the liquid will have cleared, and any un-dissolved magnesium hydroxide will have settled to the bottom of the bottle. Again shake the bottle vigorously for 30 seconds or so, making the liquid cloudy again. When the liquid again clears all of the magnesium hydroxide in the MoM should have reacted with all of the CO2 to become dissolved (ionized) magnesium and bicarbonate.

This 1 liter of concentrated magnesium bicarbonate water will have approximately 1500 mg of magnesium and approximately 7500 mg of bicarbonate.

It should be kept in the refrigerator. You may note that the sides of the bottle “cave in” when the liquid clears. This is a sign that the reaction is complete.

Researchers Have Discovered A Benjamin Button Vitamin And It’s In Milk And Beer

The search for the Fountain of Youth has energized generations of explorers, scientists, and great minds. And although there’s a lot to be said for growing old with dignity and class, most of us would prefer to forego the liver spots, wrinkles, and gray hair.

Aging is a natural part of our life cycle. Getting older just means you’re doing it right. But living longer, better lives, and staying young and vital for as long as possible is a good goal to have. Quality of life is just as important as quantity. And thanks to modern medicine, we’ve taken a big step toward having both.

We’ll do just about anything to prevent aging. Cosmetics companies and plastic surgeons built empires off the desire to reverse the flow of time.
And all those teenage vampire books tap into our “forever young” obsession.

Finally medicine has caught up, as scientists have made a promising breakthrough that can stave off aging.

Aging starts deep in our cells, where mitochondria convert food into energy.
As you might recall from high school biology, mitochondria are the powerhouses of cells.

Over time, mitochondria lose energy, and your metabolism suffers because of it.
Researchers have also discovered that mitochondria help stem cell function. In young people, those stem cells repair and regenerate damaged cells in organs and muscles.

Now, they’ve discovered that a vitamin called nicotinamide riboside (or NR) that can restore the body’s regeneration and repair that’s typically lost with aging by activating mitochondria.

At least, that’s how it works in mice.
The researchers found that mice given NR not only showed improved muscle regeneration but also lived longer than mice not given NR.

Nevertheless, NR shows great promise, and you don’t need a guy in a lab coat to provide it…

You can already get NR from vitamin supplements.
It’s a proven metabolism booster, which makes sense given its connection to mitochondria.

Better still, you can find NR in milk.
Yet another benefit of a nutrition-packed and delicious beverage…

And it’s also believed to be in beer!
Beer!

Clearly more research is needed. The researchers noted that NR boosted all cells, which means even bad, damaging cells could see improved function.
But the potential to reverse aging and treat diseases like muscular dystrophy make its potential worth  exploring.

It uses horseradish as key ingredient, a plant with high amounts of potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, and vitamins B1, B2, B6, and C. It has the ability to reduce fatigue, stimulate the production of beneficial bacteria in the intestines, and boost the metabolism.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cm of ginger root
  • 125 grams of fresh horseradish
  • 4 lemons
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. honey
Instructions:
  • Blend both ginger and horseradish in a blender

  • Take 1 tablespoon of the mixture twice daily, before meals or before exercising
  • Consume it over the course of three weeks and then make a 7-days break

Benefits of Horseradish

This plant has been long used for its potent medicinal properties. It contains over 10-fold higher glucosinolates than broccoli, which means that eating small quantities of it are enough to reap its benefits. As a matter of fact, only a little dab on your steak will do the trick.

These glucosinolates increase human`s resistance to environmental toxins and cancer. Due to their antioxidant properties, they also relieve respiratory distress and sinus issues. Many forms of infections can be treated with this compound, as it acts as natural antibiotic.

Benefits of Lemons

Even though lemons have sour taste, they create alkaline environment in the body. As a matter of fact, they are one of the most alkaline-forming foods toy can find, balancing a highly acidic environment in the body. Lemons also stimulate liver`s function and dissolve uric acid and toxins from the bile.

Lemon peels also contain tengeretin, a powerful phytonutrient which works against Parkinson`s disease and other brain disorders.  The fruit is abundant in vitamin C and other antioxidants, all of which fight off germs and boosts the immune system.  It is important to consume sufficient amount of fruits, especially lemon, particularly during the winter days.

Benefits of Honey

Honey is produced by the honey bees which use nectar from flowers and produce honey through the process of regurgitation and evaporation. Honey is abundant in flavonoids, compounds which lower the risk of heart disease and some cancer types. It has been scientifically shown that the consumption of honey helps in cases of bacterial gastroenteritis, ulcers, and coughs. A study has found that a single dose of buckwheat honey provides the same effects as a dose of dextromethorphan.
